Step 1 — Follow the setup guide
The setup guide walks you through installing Claude Code (the tool that runs the skill on your computer), creating the skill folder, and adding the skill files. It covers Mac, Windows, and Linux and handles the common places people get stuck.

Do not skip any steps. The most common issue people run into is the skill files being in the wrong folder.
Step 2 — Run the Voice Builder
Once the skill is installed, open Claude Code and type:
Build my LinkedIn writing style
Claude will start asking you questions in rounds. Answer honestly — not what you think sounds professional, but how you actually write and think. If you have LinkedIn posts you are happy with, paste 1-3 of them when Claude asks for examples. That is the single most useful thing you can give it.
You control when it ends. Say "ask me more" if you want to go deeper. Say "I'm satisfied, build it" when you feel ready. Claude will generate your style file automatically.
Step 3 — Write your first post
Open Claude Code and type:
Write a LinkedIn post about [your topic]
Claude will ask you 4-5 questions before writing — what format you want, whether you have data or examples, any constraints. Answer specifically. The more you give it, the better the post.
It will deliver the post ready to copy, 2-3 alternative hooks to test, and a flag if there is anywhere a real number or example would make it stronger.
Step 4 — Iterate
If the post is not quite right, tell Claude what is off. It will adjust. If your voice evolves over time, run:
